What will my child learn?
Across 20 structured lessons, your child will learn how to read words with two syllables such as 'junction', 'arrived' or 'fateful' and how to blend consonants together in words like 'coast', 'sneak' or 'groan'. They will also learn 10 essential sight words and will revise the 30 previously taught. 
 
All new content is introduced gradually with plenty of practice to build confidence. Each workbook is divided into five units, each ending with a checkpoint to track progress and celebrate achievement
 
I don't know much about phonics - can I still use these books?
Absolutely. Each activity has clear instructions and there's a pronunciation guide at the back of the workbook. Plus, you'll have access to audio guides to understand more about key terms.
